Sweet Basil Kennels is the premier Pyredoodle breeder of the Southeast. . I am blessed with an 80 acre farm, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia. Working breeds are only natural (& quite necessary!) to protect and keep our family and livestock safe. They are truly amazing and majestic! Prior to “farm life”, I had the honor of raising, breeding, and working sporting breeds- like as Labradors and Standard Poodles. My passion for both breed types has seeped into the Designer/Hybrid breeds- with large breeds of working and sporting Doodles. The intelligence in both types is extremely high- but in considerably different ways. In working with the dogs snd puppies, I have found that breeding “Doodles” can be for much, much more than a Hypoallergenic, cute ball of fluff (although I am totally good with that! lol). 

We take pride in our Pure Breeds and carefully select our breeding stock from working and top lines. We strive to keep the unique traits and characteristic that each breed was designed for in our puppies. This means that no matter if the puppies will be pampered pooches or will be an aid to help a human in life, they will be true to their breed. 

After working with several Special Needs trainers for Service, Support and Assistance Dogs, I realized that each person's needs are truly unique. Fortunately, there are many pure breeds and many Hybrid possibilities. We hand selected the best breeds and worked on our Hybrids, to bring our customers the best of both. 

All that being said, there is a lot of planning, waiting and so much more that goes into all of our litters of pups. Our pups are never an after thought, they are always bred for a specific purpose, and always with families in waiting. 

I have always believed that animals are a gift from God! Each one is created uniquely different, in every single way. It is my honor and pleasure to help our customers complete their family, by matching the best puppy. All of our babies are handled and loved daily, evaluated and interacted with. Although most of our pups will never “work” a day in their lives, the breed (& hybrid) characteristics and traits are the most important reason in choosing a dog, and it is my goal to match these to the family that they meet. This information, along with the current family dynamics, help to create fur-ever love stories.

A Sweet Basil puppy gives you more than the assurance that your puppy is not only absolutely adorable, but healthy and happy. Our puppies are health checked and guaranteed, and up to date on all recommended vaccines and preventative medications. 

Our 80 acre farm, Sweet Basil Farm, is where our pups are hand raised and loved. Our main farm business, Farmers Market To You, is proudly partnered and with the Georgia Department of Education, and a member Georgia Grown, a division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture.
